For this new park in the northwest neighbourhood of Toronto, FFLA collaborated with the neighborhood community and City of Toronto departments, facilitating consultations on park circulation, layout, furnishings, and play structure options. Through this process, community input guided the selection of elements for the project. FFLA completed the technical drawings for tender, and provided contract administration throughout construction. The project includes determining the alignment of park entranceways, circulation paths, and peripheral social spaces. New amenities such as benches, picnic tables, perennial plantings, new trees and a bottle filling station are being installed. The play area features a complex structure for older children, a toddler play structure, swings, and a sand area with armourstone seatwall. The park also features a new adult fitness area with equipment. FFLA designed a wall, fence, and planting bed layout to integrate the park while meeting City requirements. Construction was completed in spring 2024.
